Grow Wisdom:
Mission & Vision

The Creek & Lyells Financial Literacy Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization, was founded in March 2024 to empower high school and traditional-aged college students with the essential financial education and literacy needed to succeed in an ever-changing economy.

Our mission is to do more than talk finance. We aim to significantly impact the lives of our students by instilling in them the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions and achieve their financial goals. In doing so, we aim to shape a brighter future that will endure for generations.

Five-Year Vision:

  1. Establish financial literacy programs in our communities, impacting hundreds of students' lives annually.

  2. Partner with industry leaders and educational institutions to simplify financial education and tailor curricula to the needs of young adults.

  3. Launch an online learning platform providing accessible courses, resources, and tools for financial education, catering to a broader audience of students and young professionals.

Roots of Success

Education Creates Knowledge

Accessible content equips students with the skills to make informed choices.

Knowledge is Power

Relevant instruction empowers students to take more control of their lives.

Power Uplifts Communities

Positive connections foster a supportive network for learning and growth.

How We Give Back:

  • Our courses cover a range of financial topics, such as budgeting, debt management, insurance, investing basics, and taxation.

We are dedicated to developing concise multi-week course curriculums that provide practical knowledge from a young adult's viewpoint, making these concepts comprehensible and applicable in real life.

  • Creek & Lyells aims to work with schools and their students to combine financial literacy with academic achievement. Getting good grades and pursuing education beyond high school can result in more job opportunities and higher wages. Employers not only use educational qualifications as screening tools, but many well-paying careers require specific educational credentials.

Aligning academic, career, and financial education helps ensure that student’s long-term aspirations are achieved.

  • Outreach events enable our leadership and volunteers to engage with the community, collaborate with those passionate about similar causes, raise crucial funds, and gather feedback on how to serve the community better.

Establishing these connections enables Creek & Lyells to further our mission of enhancing financial literacy among young adults.

  • Once again, students must understand that financial literacy and general academic knowledge go hand in hand. Throughout our programs, we encourage students to consider their future careers and financial needs, and we are dedicated to supporting their educational pursuits.

While our scholarships may not cover all educational expenses, a little goes a long way. Our scholarship program aims to improve access to higher education, aligning with our objective of promoting financial education. We hope our support recognizes and motivates student success, inspiring them to pursue their academic goals.
